DAVSUR FARMERS TO BOOST GOAT DAIRY MILK PRODUCTION | Over P1million worth of equipment was turned over to Magsaysay Livestock Poultry Workers and Raisers Association (MAGLIPWORA) to boost their goat milk production in Magsaysay, Davao del Sur.
 
DA XI Regional Executive Director Abel James I. Monteagudo and National Dairy Authority (NDA) Southern Mindanao Department Manager Marlon Flores handed over to MAGLIPWORA two (2) milk collection vehicles, four (4) portable milking machines, two (2) chest type freezers, pasteurizer, pelletizer machine, forage chopper and six (6) grass cutters.
 
These interventions are part of the dairy goat production component of the Intensified Community-Based Dairy Enterprise Development project of DA-NDA funded under the US Public Law 480 (US PL480) program.
 
Through this project, the government seeks to develop the local dairy goat industry and boost local milk production and attain significant milk sufficiency level in the country.
In December 2021, MAGLIPWORA has also received 124 heads of Saanen goat breed and and 12 milk containers from the said program.
 
Joining the turnover ceremony were Magsaysay Mayor Ronnie Sarande together with Vice-Mayor Arthur Davin, Municipal Agriculturist Helen Carampatana and the NDA PL480 Community Organizer Lothell May Martinez.
