DA MIADP WORLD BANK FOLLOW-ON PRE-APPRAISAL MISSION | The Department of Agriculture through the Kabuhayan at Kaunlaran ng Kababayang Katutubo (DA 4K) conducted the World Bank Follow-on Pre-Appraisal Mission of the proposed Mindanao Inclusive Agriculture Development Project (MIADP) which is to be implemented in the five regions in Mindanao and BARMM.
The activity aims to fully grasp the idea and have a common understanding of what the MIADP is, and be able to collaborate with key stakeholders from DA, NCIP, and other national/local government agencies as project implementers in the development of this project for the Indigenous Cultural Communities/Indigenous Peoples in Mindanao.
There are already 2 identified Indigenous Peoples Organizations situated in the Ancestral Domain of Davao City and Davao Occidental with a Php 173M budget per AD.
MIADP Task Team Leader, Senior Agriculturist Economist Mio Takada said that "this is ready in all terms. There is a need to finalize elements but is ready for appraisal and approval."
DA-XI Regional Executive Director Abel James I. Monteagudo added that "additional warm bodies/manpower is necessary, as well as logistics if the blueprint is PRDP. I would also suggest a half and half approach coming from PRDP and SAAD."| with report from DA 4K Program
