MORE ENTERPRISE INVESTMENTS FOR DAVAO REGION | Around P78 million worth of enterprise projects will soon benefit 1,278 farmers in Davao Region through the IREAP component of the Philippine Rural Development Project.
 
During the technical review conducted by the Regional Program Coordination Office XI, five project groups (PG) presented thier proposed investments for assessment of its viability.
 
This activity will also determine the readiness of the PG to manage their proposed package of investments.
 
In the province of Davao del Sur, Tacul Agribased Farmers and Workers Association (TAFWA) in the municipality of Magsaysay proposed a Whole Nut Trading and Husk Processing of Coconut amounting to P19.8 million with 344 beneficiaries.
 
In the municipality of Kiblawan, also in Davao del Sur, the Pasig Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries and Upland Farmers Multipurpose Cooperative (PARBUF-MPC) proposed a P14-million Mango Processing and Marketing Enterprise project benefiting 175 farmers.
 
The Malalag Cacao Growers Association (MaCaGRoa) in Malalag, proposed a Dried Fermented Cacao Beans Processing and Marketing project amounting to P6.4 million to be benefited by 118 farmers.
 
In Maragusan, Davao de Oro, an establishment of Banana Tissue Culture Laboratory and Nursery (Tissued Cultured Banana Seedlings) is proposed by the Maragusan Growers Multipurpose Cooperative (MAGROW MPC) with an estimated cost of P21.8 million with 436 farmer beneficiaries.
 
While in Sto. Tomas, Davao del Norte the Magsasakang Progresibo Multipurpose Cooperative (MPMC).
 
Proposed a P16-million worth of Banana Chips Processing and Marketing project for 205 beneficiaries.
 
 
After considering and complying to the comments and recommendations of the regional technical review team, the business proposal of every PG is now ready for PSO and RPCO Joint Technical Review.
