SMRDI organized the event in collaboration with DA- XI Agribusiness & Marketing Assistance Division to discuss the challenges confronting the mango industry especially the decline in production, pests and diseases incidence, marketing as well as the need for financing.

SUSTAINABILITY FOR BANANA INDUSTRY | Through the Agribusiness and Marketing Division of DA-RFO XI, Banana growers in Davao region are given the chance to showcase their produce through an exhibit in a 2-day (October 12-13) Banana Conference held at SMX Convention Center in Davao City.

The said conference aims to discuss the challenges and prospects of Banana export business in the global market as well as technology breakthroughs to enhance Banana production through stakeholders consultation.

The said event is expected to come up with possible interventions to address current problems in Banana Industry such as business security, pests and diseases, financing and market matching.

The on-going event at the Davao Trade & Convention Center, F. Torres St., Davao City features knowledge sharing, technologies, and various products out of mushroom.

The event is organized by DA-XI and Bureau of Plant Industry.
