INCLUSIVE AGRICULTURE | Potentials of the ancestral domain for agribusiness expansion and enterprise will now be given due attention through the Mindanao Inclusive Agricultural Development Project (MIADP).

MIADP will provide agri-fisheries livelihood, investments, and services for the development of ICCs and IPs in Mindanao.

Its components include planning and social preparation to ensure the involvement of ICCs/IPs and enterprise development services to transform beneficiaries into agripreneurs.

To boost productivity within areas under the ancestral domain, the project will also provide agri-infrastructure support such as production and postharvest facilities including access to credit. Business partnerships and market facilitation will also be conducted to establish market linkages between consumers and our ICCs/IPs.

Recently, the World Bank team consists of Eli Weiss, Maria Theresa Quiñonez and Douglas Forno conducted its project preparatory mission in Davao City. The mission covered the site visitation to Indigenous Peoples' (IPs) communities in the city. | via Celso Campos Vergara, RAFIS11
