The program launching was graced by Davao City Vice Mayor Sebastian Z. Duterte along with the officials from DA, DAR, DENR, DILG, National Convergence Initiative (NCI), tribal leaders and farmer-beneficiaries. CADP is a 5-year comprehensive plan envisioned to empower local communities and promote sound ecosystem.

It will be addressing the management of the watershed and the ecosystem in a holistic and sustainable manner.

The Suawan-Kulafu sub watershed as a pilot site, which covers seven barangays including Suawan, Tamugan, Magsaysay, Salaysay, Dalag-lumot, Marilog proper, and malamba in Marilog District, Davao City.

It has a total land area of 22,680.82 hectares with a population of 42,709 (2015 PSA). As a kick start during the launching, DA turned over vegetable seeds, upland rice seeds, corn seeds, among others. | via Eve Deligero, RAFIS11
