The School-on-Air (SOA) is one communication and information platform where farmers harvest knowledge to enhance their decision making especially during crucial situations on the field. Access to science-based information enables farmers to either increase yield, reduce cost, and improve income.
On July 26, the first batch (of three SOAs in 2019) of farmer-graduates participated in the graduation ceremony on Vegetable Production. It was a culmination of almost two months of learning various technologies on vegetable production over DA's Mag-UmaSenso Ta! radio program aired Monday-Saturday at 4:00-5:00 AM on DXRD-AM Sonshine network.
Around 500 farmer-graduates participated on the said graduation ceremony. They were selected out 2,000 SOA enrolees.
