Dubbed as "Training-Writeshop on Communicating Trends and Innovations in ASEAN Agriculture for Regional Media," covers knowledge sessions and field immersions on farm tourism, climate change, biotechonology, and other rural development issues in Southeast Asia.
Dr. Sagiguit underscored the critical role of media practitioners in disseminating the center's inclusive and sustainable agriculture and rural development initiatives to its various stakeholders.
The discussions also include latest updates on the establishment of the 1st Southeast Asian Agri Museum which is expected to rise by 2019 at SEARCA Headquarters.
Field immersions on farm tourism were held at Terra Verde Eco Farm in Maragondon, Cavite and Gourmet Farm in Silang, Cavite.
The DAXI Press Corps also had the privilege to be the first group to visit the Bt Eggplant Demo Site at UPLB Institute of Plant Breeding.
