During the Harvest and Trading Ceremony conducted on July 12 at Purok Katipunan, Barangay Madaum, Tagum City, MVSFA agreed to plant vegetables and sweet corn which will be bought by BJMP Tagum.
The said agreement which is the first in the country would help the Madaum farmers in trading their yields since there are around 400 ‘bakasyonistas’ in BJMP Tagum City with 20 pesos allocated for every ‘bakasyonista’ and if successful, it will be implemented regionwide with around 5,000 ‘bakasyonistas’.
