Rogelio Gonzales (3rd L), Chairman of the Balutakay Coffee Farmers Association (BACOFA) in Bansalan receives from Davao del Sur Governor Douglas Ra. Cagas (1st-L) and DA OIC-Regional Director Ricardo Onate, Jr. a brand new hauling truck worth P1.4-million. The hauling truck will help BACOFA to directly sell and deliver their Arabica coffee beans to various markets in Davao City and Bukidnon. Another hauling truck was also turned over to P4MP Padada President Orlando Ruiz (5th-). The hauling truck will enable the association to expand markets beyond the province. A total of P5.96-million worth of farm machineries such as threshers, combine harvesters, hand tractors, floating tillers, and hauling trucks were turned by DA11 to various irrigators and farmers associations in the province to improve farm mechanization and marketing system. The simple turnover held June 27 at the capitol grounds coincides with the province's 50th founding anniversary.
