P700M worth of I-Build sub-projects approved by RPAB 11

DAVAO CITY - The Regional Project Advisory Board (RPAB) approved eight Intensified Building Up of Infrastructure and Logistics for Development (I-BUILD) sub-projects in Davao region worth P734, 157,279.06 during a meeting here, recently.

The RPAB approved and correspondingly endorsed the sub project proposals for funding under the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP) wherein the I-BUILD is part of the major component of the PRDP implementation in the region.

The RPAB-approved I-BUILD sub projects consisting the P190,458,192.25 worth Rehabilitation of Poblacion - Limbaan - Suawon - Macgum Farm-to-Market Road (FMR) with Bridge in New Corella, Davao del Norte, Rehabilitation of Brgy. La Filipina - Brgy. San Agustin FMR in Tagum City, Davao del Norte worth P18,764,240.33, Concreting of Poblacion - San Isidro - Tacul FMR in Magsaysay, Davao del Sur worth P88,745,278.26, Rehabilitation of Junction San Miguel - Kidawa FMR with Bridge in Laak, Compostela Valley worth P42,203,988.85, Rehabilitation of Brgy. Pangutosan, Nabunturan - Brgy. New Alegria, Compostela FMRin  Nabunturan & Compostela, Compostela Valley Province amounting to  P110,832,173.12, Rehabilitation of Brgy. Nuevo Iloco, Mawab - Brgy. Panibasan, Maco FMR in Mawab and Maco, Compostela Valley worth P 52,130,351.44, Rehabilitation of Brgy. Poblacion - Brgy. Magcagong FMR Maragusan, Compostela Valley worth  P13,531,089.55 and the rehabilitation of Matavisan FMR in Pantukan, Compostela Valley worth P217,491,965.26.

Ma. Febe Orbe, Department of Agriculture (DA) 11 assistant regional director and coordinator of the Regional Program Coordination Office (RCPO) said that they are hopeful that there will be combinations of I-Build andInvestments in Rural Enterprises and Agriculture and Fisheries Productivity (I-Reap) projects to be done in the region.

Orbe also directed the RPCO to review all the necessary requirements for the subprojects. “This is just the first step, let’s be positive and pray that the National Program Coordination Office (NPCO) will approve the projects,” she also added.

Orbe also challenged the other provinces and cities that have proposals to complete the requirements and to submit immediately the needed documents. After which, the Board will then schedule it for deliberations.

The I-Build component of PRDP aims to put in place strategic and climate-resilient rural infrastructure facilities along the value chain.
