DA IT Section conducts training on DBMS and ACA

The regional office of the Department of Agriculture (DA 11) Information Technology (IT) section gathered participants from different operating divisions and units of the agency in a Database Management System (DBMS) and Advance Computer Applications (ACA) training held at IT Discussion room recently.

The two-day  training was comprised of hands-on-training on Document Management System, eDirectory System, Project Management System, Inventory System for Agriculture and Fisheries Investment, Pivot Table, Network File Management, Basic Computer Trouble Shooting, Google Applications and Presentation of Outputs from the participants to distinguished their measure of learning.

IT section officer in charge Pamela Sosa said that the activity was undertaken as a response to the growing needs of DA 11 for innovation in terms of processing of files, research and other activities.

“This training will eventually lessen the efforts of the technical working group in DA 11 in making the handling of data easier to use, create, manage as well as the exchanging of information” she bared.

During the sharing of Impressions, Institutional Development Section OIC Chief Evelyn Basa thanked the IT Section for coming up with the initiative to train the employees with basic strategies that would be useful to their directive functions.

The informative training was formally closed by Department of Agriculture 11 Director Remelyn R. Recoter through Personnel Section OIC-Chief Joy Parcon who commended as well the effort of IT section and the active participation of the participants. The Database Management System will be presented in the upcoming Management Committee meeting for review and approval of DA 11 officials. (u)
