Agri Tayo Dito’ celebrates 2nd year anniversary
The show conceptualized by ABS-CBN Davao entitled “Agri-Tayo Dito” celebrated its 2nd year anniversay yesterday at the NCCC Mall of Davao.
Hosted by Ruben Gonzaga, it became the link in helping the farmers and fisherfolks increase their production and income. It could also help women to start their own small business in agriculture.
Being the supporting agency, the Department of Agriculture (DA) represented by assistant regional director Ma. Febe Orbe thanked the management and staff of the weekly show.
She commended the host for connecting DA to small and medium enterprises, farmers, investors and even to housewives or women who wanted to start small businesses in agriculture.
“We are very much appreciative that the program synchronizes with the government’s initiative in enhancing productivity to attain food sufficiency that benefits everybody,” Orbe stressed.
She added that the show forged partnerships with private companies in helping the farmers augment their income.
“I am happy that there is a show that gives hope to those who are striving to make a living through agri base business. I hope that you will continue to air the best practices and tips on agricultural production for small and medium enterprises in the major provinces of the Philippines,” she said.
Orbe further thanked the management and staff for presenting the success stories of the hardworking farmers and fisherfolks as well as promoting organic farming.
“It is our desire that ABS-CBN will continue to support the development of the agri-fishery sector through 'Agri-Tayo Dito' and make farming more exciting and a profitable business journey,” Orbe said in closing.
Meanwhile, Agriculture Secretary Proceso Alcala through audio Visual presentation expressed his heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for this program, which in one way or another has helped DA achieve its goal of attaining food sufficiency in the country.
