The current health crisis has resulted to cancellation of this year's Kadayawan festivities, which include the Annual Durian Festival, one of the venue for marketing durian and other tropical fruits during its peak
season.

With this, the Department of Agriculture in Region XI (DA-XI) through its Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division (AMAD) facilitates the marketing agreement between Durian Industry Association of Davao City (DIADC) and John Gold Cargo Forwarder, a Davao-based company providing logistics services by bringing various products from Mindanao to Metro Manila and other parts of the country.

DIADC committed to transport 15 tons of fruits daily or six times
a week such as durian, mangosteen, lanzones, and marang.

John Gold President and CEO John T. Baricuatro said his company will provide the aircraft space with a special rates of P35 per kilo from Mindanao to Metro Manila and Mindanao to Visayas.
